Billy Cary Event – 2009
In September of 2009 Billy Cary, a vibrant 13 year old boy of Katy, Texas, was diagnosed with the H1N1 virus (swine flu). He had several complication due to the virus that put him in the hospital. The community of Katy rallied around Billy and when the Cotton Foundation found out about his situation, they held a fundraiser to help with the mounding medical bills.
The event brought in more than 700 people and raised thousands of dollars for the Cary Family. Billy Cary is a healthy young man today, but we know he will always remember the love shown to him and his family during this difficult time.
